Dispersed ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
With your permission on iOS (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), we collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Instagram. This data is shared with Meta (Facebook) solely for install attribution purposes. On iOS, you can deny this permission when prompted, and you can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID through your device's Google Settings under Ads.
We use PostHog to analyze app usage and improve our services. PostHog may collect additional information as described in their privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and regular security assessments. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
We only access your location when you explicitly grant permission. Location data helps us show nearby campgrounds and improve our mapping features. You can disable location access anytime through your device settings.
Dispersed is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Our services are currently focused on US public lands. If you access our app from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
