Advertising Identifiers

With your permission on iOS (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), we collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Instagram. This data is shared with Meta (Facebook) solely for install attribution purposes. On iOS, you can deny this permission when prompted, and you can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID through your device's Google Settings under Ads.

Analytics Services

We use PostHog to analyze app usage and improve our services. PostHog may collect additional information as described in their privacy policy.

  • With service providers who help operate our app: AWS (hosting), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash reporting and error monitoring), RevenueCat (subscription and payment processing), and Mapbox (map rendering and location services)
  • With Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) for advertising campaign measurement. On iOS, this sharing only occurs if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt
  • When required by law or to protect our legal rights
  • In connection with a business transfer or acquisition
  • With your consent for specific purposes

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and regular security assessments. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Location Data

Dispersed is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

International Users

Our services are currently focused on US public lands. If you access our app from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
