About BLM Camping
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) oversees over 245 million acres of public land, primarily in western states. BLM land offers some of the best opportunities for free dispersed camping and boondocking in the United States.
Most BLM camping is free and unrestricted, with popular areas in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. The 14-day limit applies to most BLM dispersed camping, and campers must typically stay at least 200 feet from water sources.
BLM land is perfect for RV camping, van life, and those seeking solitude away from crowded campgrounds. Always check local regulations and practice Leave No Trace principles.
