This is a designated dispersed camping area. Camping allowed only within designated, numbered sites. When the forest is in fire restrictions NO FIRES are allowed at this location. This camp area is fee free and as such it is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out area. Be a good steward of your public lands and help us keep this area FREE by packing out everything your bring in with you. This camping area is located immediately adjacent to the Mogollon Rim Escarpment and several campsites are bordered by a 300+ ' vertical drop. This area is not recommended for families with young children or people who are uneasy with heights.
Details
Season: Generally open Spring through Fall. Area is closed when winter snow closes the Rim Lakes Recreation Area.
