Monocle Lake Campground is conveniently located near Point Iroquois Lighthouse. It is halfway between the Soo Locks and Whitefish Point, making a nice base camp. The campground contains 39 shaded campsites in a northern hardwood setting. All sites have hardened surfaces with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts. Pressurized water and vault toilets are conveniently spaced throughout the campground. There are no utility hook-ups available. Besides camping, visitors can also swim, hike, boat and fish here. There is a boat ramp with separate trailer parking between the campground and the picnic/swimming area. You will also find a fishing dock within the campground. Anglers can expect to find a variety of fish including Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and Yellow Perch in Monocle Lake. The hiking trail traverse the campground along the shore, through the picnic area, and to the trailhead in the day-use parking area, where you'll find a 2 mile loop trail. For the more adventurous, the hiking trail also connects to the Binnobbin hiking trail, which leads to Spectacle Lake overlook, an elevation increase of approximately 165 feet.
