About Klahanie
Klahanie is located on the South Fork Calawah River; and has; a; typical; temperate coastal rainforest canopy, including; old growth spruce over 8' in diameter, hanging mosses and a lush carpet of wood sorel and sword fern. Klahanie provides a beautiful, inexpensive "base camp" to explore the unique shops and calendar events of Forks, as well as the; spectacular surrounding landscape sounds. It is 20 minutes from the; rugged Pacific Ocean coast and LaPush cultural center for the Quileute People, 25; minutes from the Bogachiel Rain Forest, and an hour from Cape Flattery bluffs and the Makkah Cultural Center. Caution: Children should always be supervised around water. In recent years the river has eroded its bank.
