About Willow Park
Willow Park Group Campground can accommodate up to 150 people for picnicking and up to 60 people for overnight camping. Picnic tables, serving tables, grills, a campfire circle with benches, accessible vault toilet, drinking water, and trash collection are provided. Reservations are required to use this site. Nearby attractions are Meadowlark Lake (excellent trout fishing) and the historic James T. Saban Lookout. The fire lookout was built by the CCC in 1942 and is named for James T. Saban, a former Forest Service employee who lost his life while fighting the Blackwater Fire in 1937.
