About Echo Lake Campground
Echo Lake Campground provides 22 sites, with 13 reservable sites (1 group site and 12 standard sites) and 9 first come-first served. The sites are non- electric and amenities include vault toilets, solar powered water, tables, garbage service, campfire rings. A group campsite is available for groups of up to 21 people. Three free First Come First Serve dispersed campsites that can be accessed only by boat are located around the lake as well. The campground is set in a mix of aspen, balsam, spruce, and pine trees. It is a family-friendly campground with a small playground for children, a swimming beach, and a hiking trail. The lake is popular for walleye and pan fishing. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. RVs and campers up to 45 feet in length can fit in most sites. Echo Lake is also a convenient location for visitors of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to camp overnight before or after their canoe trips. The Echo Lake Hunter Walking Trails are also nearby for grouse hunters.
