Almont Campground is located adjacent to Colorado State Highway 135. This campground is within walking distance to the Almont Gorge, where the East River and Taylor River join to form the Gunnison River. Other recreation opportunities from Almont Campground include four-wheel driving, mountain biking and kayaking. The landscape is mostly aspen and cottonwood trees.
