About Sedalia Campground

Sedalia Seasonal Camp is part of the Enoree Ranger District of the Francis Marion Sumter National Forest, managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service. This camp offers a rustic setting ideal for camping, canoeing, or hiking Palmetto Trail. The front campground is open year round. The back loop is open seasonally, only April, then again September through December. There is a 2 week stay limit throughout the entire campground, year-round. The surrounding forest environment sustains abundant wildlife populations, resulting in some of the most desirable hunting. There are supply stores in the vicinity, on SC 72 and SC 215. There are other recreation opportunities in the area. Fishing is popular at the Johns Creek Lakes complex. You can hike south from this camp for 38 miles of the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail. Or down in Newberry County, there is a Enoree OHV Trail which allows riders of 50" or smaller ATV's and motorbikes to ride well maintained trails.
