Pawnee Ranger District

Motor vehicle use off or designated roads for
the purpose of dispersed camping is permitted
on National Forest Lands for up to 300 feet
from the centerline of the road, allowing for
the same vehicles as the road allows and the same season as the road is open.

Dispersed camping access applies only to
National Forest System land. A majority of
the land within the boundaries of the
Pawnee National Grassland

is privately owned. Be sure you are on the
National Grassland before driving off a road
for camping
