About Cove Group Campground

Cove Group Campground is set an elevation of 6,400 feet, just 18 miles from Hume Lake. Natural Features: The Sequoia National Forest is located at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada in central California. The forest is divided into three districts that comprise 1.1 million acres. The Hume Lake Ranger District is in the northern part of Sequoia National Forest in which this campground is located. This district has elevations ranging from about 1,200 along the Kings River near Pine Flat Reservoir and to 11,000 feet, the peak of Mt Harrington. This land scape is home to 13 Sequoia Groves and the majestic Kings Canyon. Recreation: Several trails pass nearby, offering excellent hiking, and streams along the way provide trout fishing. At Lake Hume visitors enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and hiking. Facilities: This group site holds one group up to 50 people. Vehicles are limited to 20 cars or 10 RVs. Picnic areas, food storage boxes, drinking water and group campfire rings are provided. Rocky Mountain Recreation (RMR)All developed campground areas on the Forest operate under a concessionaire permit with RMR.
