About Walton Lake
Walton Lake Campground may be the best known location on the Ochoco National Forest due to the serene setting among old growth ponderosa pine and mountain meadows. Visitors can choose to spend their vacation fishing on the shore of Walton Lake, or swimming and paddling in the water. There are also many trails nearby for those who would like to explore on foot or bicycle, such as Walton Lake Trail (#809) which circles the lake. See also Walton Sno-Park.
