About Agate Point

A small day-use site with 3 tables and 1 outhouse. Located on the north shore of Tchesinkut Lake. There are several species of fish in the lake for anglers and a nice sand/gravel beach here. Please avoid driving vehicles on the shoreline as this is sensitive fish habitat. In Canada, fish habitat is protected under the Federal Fisheries Act. Any alteration, disruption or destruction of fish habitat is a violation of the Fisheries Act. Violations can be reported to Fisheries and Oceans Canada at 1-800-465-4336 or to the provincial RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277 Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf In Burns Lake, take Hwy 35 south from Burns Lake Village for about 13 km, then turn left onto Tchesinkut East Road for about 5.6 km (first 3 kms paved, then dirt/gravel road). Site is on the right hand side and is marked with a 3 blade sign
