About Gold Creek Bay

This site is set on a bench above a shelter and secluded bay on Lake Koocanusa. There are limited opportunities for boat launching here, depending on fluctuating water levels. The steep access is generally limited to car top boats. The site boasts both shaded and sunny sites as well as a horseshoe pit. Located on the west side of Lake Koocanusa approximately 30 km south of the Bailey Bridge along the Newgate Road. Shortly before the paved road turns to gravel turn left (east) and follow a gravel road for approximately 500 m to the site. *Note: pass the Sunshine Houseboat operation to get to the site.
