About Grizzly Lake

This site is located in an open area on the shores of Grizzly Lake and offers the basic amenities of 2 pit toilets, tables and fire rings. There is an unimproved boat launch suitable for small car-top boats, and the lake offers decent fishing for rainbow trout. The lake is stocked annually with Pennask strain rainbows. Travel 17kms south of Prince George (Hwy 97). Turn left on to the Willow Cale FSR (112.5km). Next turn right at 121km (T-junction), turn left at 142km and cross the bridge (Coalmine FSR). Continue until 5.4km and turn right. The site is at ~5.7km on the Willow-Grizzly FSR. * Please note that the Willow-Coalmine Bridge is under repair and may be closed between Sept. 11 and 25th. Willow North (off Hwy 16) is an alternative. The 5km access road (Grizzly) is quite rough - it remains 2WD accessible but a higher clearance vehicle is recommended*
