About Tacheeda Lakes Point
This scenic site is the second of the Tacheeda Lakes rec sites, and is likely one of the most popular camping spots around PG. The in-site loop road provides easy access for larger vehicles. The site provides defined camping pads for 17 parties, tables, fire rings and 3 pit toilets. There is a concrete boat launch suitable for both car top and trailed boats. Avid anglers may have success catching wild stocks of rainbow trout, kokanee, and lake trout. Please note that the lake trout are catch and release only. *Note that the Chuchinka-Colbourne Road is an extremely busy industrial road. The use of two-way forestry radios is highly recommended. Please drive cautiously at all times and be aware of high volumes of heavy industrial traffic.* From Prince George, drive approximately 85 Km on Highway 97 North and right on Chuchinka-Colbourne (2000) FSR. After 7 km the road turns into the 800 Road (keep left). Continue along this road and the site is located at km 841 on the right side of the road.
