The Cochin Lake Recreation Site is located on the southern shore of Cochin lake, and is a popular fishing destination. Rainbow trout in the 1.5 to 2 pound size are said to be fairly plentiful in the lake. INDIGENOUS TERRITORY: Cochin Lake is situated within the declared aboriginal title lands of the Tsilhqot'in (pronounced "sil-ko-teen") Nation and caretaker area of the Xeni Gwet'in First Nation. The Tsilhqot'in people refer to this area as Gwedzin, or Gwedzin Biny. Source: https://tsilhqotin.ca About 1 km east of the community of Tatla Lake, turn south off of Hwy 20 onto Tatlayoko Lake Road. Travel 20 km and turn left onto Tatlayoko-Henry's Cross Rd. Travel 1.5 km and turn left onto the access road to the recreation site. Travel another 0.6 km to the Cochin Lake Recreation Site.
