Woods Lake Campground is a tent-only campground near the summit of Carson Pass. At 8,200 feet, it is often the last to open each season. Woods Lake offers opportunities for fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, and non-motorized boating such as kayaking. Trails lead from the campground into Mokelumne Wilderness (free day permits required).
