About Doris Lake

Located near Smithers and east of Babine Mountains Provincial Park on the shores of Doris Lake sits this semi-open, forested, 4 unit campsite. The access road is a tight turn off Babine Lake road with a short and steep approach into the site as well as a challenging exit back onto Babine Lake Road, it isn't suitable for RV's/trailers. The site has a small boat launch and beach area which allows for swimming, boating and fishing. Cutthroat trout are the predominant species in the lake. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf From highway 16, turn on Babine Lake Road, proceed past Chapman Lake turnoff (Upper Fulton FSR) and Tangelchain Lake, 49km up Babine Lake Road. The site is found on the left hand side of Babine Lake road and is marked with a 3 blade sign.
