About Sunset Lake
Located near Topley, this site has room for 9 or more units at the 9 camp sites. This semi-open campsite has large, open grassy areas with picnic tables, a day use/picnic area as well as an area suitable for swimming if you so desire. There is a concrete boat launch at the far end of the site (distanced from the swimming area) and the lake is popular for boating and fishing. There are several species of fish in the lake including rainbow trout and burbot. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf In Topley, from Hwy 16 turn onto Sunset Lake Rd for about 4km then turn right onto Rondeau Rd and continue to the end of the road, there is a 3 blade sign marking the access to Sunset Lake at the fork in the road, day use parking is to the left and campsite access is to the right.
