About Chek Canyon Climbing Site
A popular climbing area, known as "Chek." Access road is steep, all wheel drive is recommended. This site has about 100 climbing routes in place, for beginner to expert climbers. Pack out all that you pack in. Campsites are available at both parking lots & are first come, first served. Most sites are walk-in sites but a few drive-in sites available. Picnic tables, fire rings, outhouses & bear caches available throughout site. Approximatley 15 minute drive from Squamish. Going North on HWY 99 from Squamish, continue past Brohm Lake and the lookout for Tantalus range. The Conroy Forest Service road is signed, turn right here and drive up the hill about 1km to the top parking lot. The Conroy road is just before the salt sheds in the Cheakamus Canyon.
